Dynamics of Interaction

Social interaction is a central part of our lives yet despite our 'people expertise', our attempts to be ourselves and get to know others is often so difficult! Interpersonal dynamics are the core of these social processes, but they are rarely well understood. The nature of the processes themselves are not excessively complex, but their effective application often proves challenging.

Learning Objectives

1) To be introduced briefly to the underpinning Theory of Living Human Systems

2) To be introduced to the technique of functional subgrouping, a unique process that creates safety and can effectively accelerate the group development process

3) To experientially participate in functional subgrouping

In this Presentation

Verena and Chetan will introduce a way to help us, and eventually our clients, focus on discovering our similarities before getting mired in the conflict of differences. While this may sound easy, it requires concerted effort given our 'social training'. They will briefly share some theoretical underpinnings before an in-depth experiential portion. Plan to learn both cognitively and experientially!
