Often leadership is attributed to "charisma." The assumption is that a leader is one who inspires and captures the imagination of others. Leadership is not simply about coercion, control or a momentary emotional reaction in followers. Too many "leaders" are still attempting to do business as it was done in past decades.
Leadership is about an individual leader and the respect and loyalty given to her/him by others. Leadership comes from both within and without and does not require coercion to provide direction or motivation. Authentic leadership is "who" you are, what you do and why and how you do it. The deepest levels of leadership are about transformation of the person, team, organization, community, nation and ultimately the world.
Worth-based leadership is about communication, appreciation, imagination and habituation. Organizations such as Microsoft report improvement in communication, teamwork, reduction of errors in understanding problems, improved customer satisfaction scores, improved meetings and more efficient use of time. Charlie Palmgren, Ph.D., brings a depth and breath of understanding and experience in change processes that is impressive. Charlie's 35 years of research and experience have led many to look to him for organizational change and development expertise.
